On 22 October, the teams of Athena Research Center and the Ephorate of Antiquities of Preveza met for a day of fieldwork at the Archaeological Museum and the Archaeological Site of Nicopolis, as part of preparations for the HERIT ADAPT inception workshop.
During the visit, the teams explored the archaeological site and museum, exchanging knowledge and expertise while gaining a shared understanding of the site’s cultural heritage and its specific needs. The fieldwork provided an opportunity to discuss the monuments in their actual setting and lay the foundations for the upcoming workshop discussions and activities.
This visit marked the beginning of a collaboration between the Athena Research Center and the Ephorate of Antiquities of Preveza, bringing together scientific research and heritage management. Building on the HERIT ADAPT approach, this cooperation aims to support the protection, preservation and resilience of the cultural heritage of Ancient Nicopolis.
