HERIT ADAPT 8th Project Meeting & final Steering Committee Meeting

03/06/2026
On 20 May 2026, the HERIT ADAPT partnership held its final project meeting in Athens, bringing together partners to reflect on key achievements, review the successful completion of project activities, and coordinate the final steps towards project closure.

Beyond administrative wrap-up, the meeting focused on ensuring that the project’s outcomes continue to generate value beyond its formal end. Partners discussed the long-term impact of the HERIT ADAPT Sustainable Tourism Model, the uptake of project results, and opportunities for future collaboration at regional, national, and Mediterranean levels.

The discussions also provided an opportunity for partners to exchange reflections on lessons learned throughout the implementation process and to highlight the added value of transnational cooperation in addressing the challenges facing cultural heritage and tourism in the context of climate change.
While project activities are coming to an end, HERIT ADAPT’s public communication channels and key resources will remain available, ensuring continued access to the knowledge, publications, and good practices developed throughout the project. This will facilitate the ongoing dissemination and use of project results, supporting heritage managers, public authorities, and tourism stakeholders in addressing future challenges.
