On 12 March 2026, HERIT ADAPT was presented at the ARS TEXTUM Biennial 2026 in Zamora, an international professional forum focused on the relationship between territory, craftsmanship, heritage and contemporary innovation, under the theme “El Duero como arteria creativa”, bringing together 130 experts, researchers, cultural managers and artisans working on territorial development through culture.
The presentation took place within the session “Simbiosis creativa: El Duero conecta territorios”, dedicated to successful cases linking heritage, identity and sustainable development, where HERIT ADAPT was introduced as a European project exploring new strategies for climate resilience, cultural tourism and citizen engagement through heritage-based territorial innovation.
The presentation focused on the pilot actions developed in Granada, showing how watchtowers, castles and rural heritage landscapes can become drivers for sustainable tourism redistribution, reducing pressure on overcrowded destinations while generating new opportunities for local communities.
Presenting HERIT ADAPT in this context fostered the exchange of methodologies with other European initiatives working on crafts, cultural landscapes, and territorial economies. This engagement reinforced the project’s objective of linking heritage conservation with contemporary creative practices and sustainable development approaches. The participation also enhanced networking opportunities with institutions, cultural organisations, and professionals engaged in heritage-led innovation, further increasing the visibility, impact, and transferability of the project’s results beyond the Euro-MED area.
