New publication from the Sustainable Tourism Mission for Climate Resilience in Tourism Coastal Destinations

17/06/2026
“Climate Resilience in Tourism Coastal Destinations: Solutions from Nature and Cultural Heritage” is one of the 4 Thematic Papers resulting from the work carried out by the 22 projects of the Sustainable Tourism Mission.
The document is the Thematic Paper of the MED Cluster on Climate Change Adaptation, coordinated by NECSTouR and Plan Bleu, aiming to provide an in-depth technical analysis of the challenge of climate resilience in tourism destinations by highlighting relevant tools, methodologies, and good practices developed by thematic projects. While not policy recommendation document, it offers valuable input for future policy work on sustainable tourism.

As part of this valuable process, the HERIT ADAPT Sustainable Tourism Model is highlighted as a transferable solution for strengthening climate-resilient and sustainable cultural heritage.
