HERIT ADAPT participated in the Regional Growth Conference 2026 (RGC 2026), held in Patras, Greece (19–21 May 2026), one of the country’s leading fora for dialogue on regional development, innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable growth.
Contributing to the session “Climate Pact and Sustainable Tourism”, the Region of Western Greece and the Industrial Systems Institute/ ATHENA Research Center, highlighted the importance of strengthening the resilience of cultural heritage and tourism destinations in response to climate change challenges.
HERIT ADAPT showcased its approach to developing sustainable tourism solutions and reinforcing climate adaptation strategies for cultural heritage sites, underlining the importance of collaboration between regional authorities, research institutions, and tourism stakeholders.
The participation also emphasized the role of EU-funded projects in supporting regional development and advancing a more resilient and sustainable tourism model across Mediterranean destinations.
