18/03/2026
The Region of Western Greece, lead partner of HERIT ADAPT, participated in the “Salon Mondial du Tourisme 2026” exhibition in Paris. The event took place from March 12 to 15, 2026, at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles (Pavillon 4), drawing over 400 exhibitors and 500 destinations from around the world.
The HERIT ADAPT project, spanning 33 months (January 2024 – September 2026) with a budget of €2,998,740, strengthens the resilience of tourist areas through sustainable management of cultural and natural heritage. It focuses on climate change adaptation practices, training for tourism professionals, and stakeholder dialogue to drive sustainable development.
During its participation, at its own booth, the Region of Western Greece presented the project’s initiatives, positioning Western Greece as a prime model for sustainable tourism and destinations. Visitors were informed about heritage management tools, skills workshops, and citizen engagement initiatives, highlighting the vital link between culture and tourism.
