The Temple of Epicurus Apollon

03/12/2024
Welcome to our Herit Adapt journey in the Region of Western Greece, a region rich in history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes. The Region of Western Greece, which is one of the 13 Regions in Greece, divided into three Regional Units, Aetoloacarnania, Achaea, and Ilia, has the privilege of combining traditional and alternative forms of tourism, including cultural/religious tourism, walking tourism and spa tourism, resulting to a pure beauty of eternal nature with a captivating cultural heritage and a great history of centuries. All the above constitute the emblematic nature of the Olympian Land.

The Temple of Epicurus Apollon is the envisaged pilot site where, via the Herit Adapt model and the Warmest/ART3MIS tool, will be developed new AI algorithms for the restoration of fragments and 3D models of the monument. The archaeological site beautifully showcases ancient Greek architecture and spirituality. Located in the Region of Western Greece, this temple is a testament to the rich Greek cultural heritage.
