The 2nd Technical Meeting and the 2nd Steering Committee of the HERIT ADAPT, Interreg Euro-Med, held on July 11-12, 2024, at Sapienza University in Rome. In the meeting attended the Deputy Governor of Tourism Development of the Region of Western Greece , Mr. Panagiotis Sakellaropoulos, and he pointed out that “ This is a highly valuable project for gaining knowledge about the protection of significant cultural heritage monuments in the Region of Western Greece from climate change and over-tourism. The HERIT ADAPT project aims to create more sustainable tourism for the participating areas, with particular emphasis on the resilience of cultural heritage monuments against climate change. In the Region of Western Greece, the Temple of Epicurean Apollo in the regional unit of Ilia, a UNESCO World Heritage site, has been selected as a pilot site. I am particularly pleased with the conclusions of the technical meeting, as the project is progressing without delays. It was also decided that the next Technical Meeting will take place in Patras in October of this year. ”
